Destinations worth planning a trip around
These twelve guides show the range of the index: a first dish, a sense of the menu, and a link to every item page for that country.
How it works
A menu, not a listicle
Every country page is built from the same question: what should I actually order? The answer is split into dishes, bakery, coffee and other drinks, then linked to individual pages with price bands, places and dietary tags.
- 868 food pages covering dishes and bakery items, each with a description, price band and place.
- 485 drink pages covering coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks.
- 120 country guides that tie the menu together with places, costs and dietary notes.
- 24 street-food guides for destinations where the pavement is the point.
Common questions
Before you start
What is TasteBridge?
An independent food and drink index for travellers. It covers 120 destinations with 868 dish and bakery pages, 485 coffee and drink pages, plus street-food, dietary and country guides.
How do I find food for my destination?
Open the Food Finder, choose where you are going, and filter by price, dietary needs and the kind of food you want. Or browse the World Food index for a country guide.
Are the prices live menu prices?
No. Price bands are planning estimates in US dollars. They are useful for comparing destinations, not for checking tonight's bill.
Can I filter for halal or vegetarian food?
Yes. The index tags 28 items as halal-friendly and 481 as vegetarian. The dietary guides explain what those tags do and do not promise.
Where should I start?
Start with the destination guides: each one lists the dishes to try first, the bakery and coffee, where to eat and what it costs.
