A practical guide to eating abroad

Find food that
feels right.

Tell us where you are from, where you are going and how you like to eat. TasteBridge shows you what to order, what it roughly costs and where to look for it.

Explore food in your destination

Dish ideas are a starting point. Always confirm ingredients and dietary requirements with the restaurant.

01 / Plan your plate

Three steps to a better menu.

Pick your route, choose what matters to you, then explore one category at a time. Results update as soon as you change something.

1

Set the route

Where you are from, where you are going, and the city or area you will actually be eating in.

2

Add your preferences

Spice level, rice habits, halal awareness, vegetarian, noodles, seafood or budget. Filters stack.

3

Explore a category

Local dishes, bread and bakery, cafe menus, coffee, or juices, tea and mocktails. Each one opens its own cards.

Find restaurants around your destination

These open a live Google Maps search in a new tab. Always read recent reviews and check the current menu.

Price bands are rough, editorial estimates for a typical single portion in a casual venue. They are not quotes. Dietary tags describe the core recipe only: sauces, stocks, shared fryers and garnishes can contain allergens or animal products, so confirm with the kitchen before ordering.

02 / How it works

Country first. Then the details.

Every destination in the list has its own dishes, its own coffee habits and its own everyday drinks. Nothing is copied from a neighbouring country to fill a gap.

  • Dishes are tagged for spice, rice, halal awareness, vegetarian core recipes, noodles, seafood and familiarity.
  • The halal filter removes pork and alcohol, then adds pork-free orders that are easy to find in most cities.
  • The vegetarian filter removes meat, fish and fish sauce, then adds common vegetarian orders when a destination has few local options.
  • If nothing fits every filter, TasteBridge shows the closest matches and says so instead of showing an empty page.
  • Coffee and drinks combine destination classics with techniques and styles you will find in most cities.
  • Restaurant buttons build a map search around your city or area, not a fixed list that goes stale.
